Finding the capital to start a new business

When you are thinking about your ability to pursue a new business venture, a concept you must understand is the capital. Capital is anything that can be owned or accumulated. You must determine to what extent you and your team to own or have earned each of these five forms of capital:

1. Human capital: the knowledge, training, experience and skills, that you and your partners and employees to carry the company. This is incredibly important and probably the most important part.

2. Intellectual Capital: Experiences, skills and knowledge derived from your teams efforts and synergy. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts if your team is able to develop ideas and complete tasks together that could not be torn to pieces.

3. Social capital: the network of relationships, contacts, friends and families can bring to the table. A person with high amounts of social capital is great when you start a business venture. As the old saying goes, often times the "not what you know but who you know." Having someone with a great social network on your side will definitely work to your advantage.

4. Cultural capital: cultural capital is your knowledge of certain cultural norms, preferences and standards. This sounds like a category at random, but it is not. For example, if you are a student you probably understand quite well the needs and desires of the other students. If you are a non-student who does not possess the cultural capital, but rather the capital of the business world. This may also be true for every demographic group, community, geographic location, market segment or organization.

5. Financial capital: This may be money that can contribute directly or activities available to the company, or the access you need money. This is the most difficult to obtain capital, but it is not difficult if you are willing to work hard

6. Sweat Equity: Sweat equity is the final category and also the most difficult to assess. Sweat equity is the amount of time and effort you can put into your business. Heritage Sweat can do two nights in a row to finish a project, answering the phone at 3 am on Sunday from customers .......
