Sadness and depression - Two Sides Of The Same Coin

Sadness is normal for all people and appears as a response to a particular event such as loss of a loved one, problems at work, a love break, so it's quite normal to be sad. Sadness is the characteristic symptom of depression, the difference is that the sadness you have any person, heals herself and takes little time, while in depression and anxiety sadness is permanent and can last a long time and life the person turns around this symptom, if not treated and become chronic over time.

How do I know if I can with a depression and not an episode of sadness? You know you've spent time with the state of mind "down", you should also identify the thoughts and expressions that you have about your life, your job, your family and finally know if you are inactive (a), put (a) at home, doing nothing.

When you feel you got to the bottom of the barrel, have eating disorders, sleep disorder and usually have feelings of guilt, that are good for nothing, that everything you do wrong, you are faced with a depressive disorder and see a doctor specialist in this kind of problems to give you treatment. This you must do before you start to think about the possibility of suicide for not going to bother your family and others.

The causes of depression usually often genetic, chemical and hormonal and other cases is due to psychosocial factors and that's the main difference with sadness because it is mainly due to psychological factors and goes quickly once you solve the problem or spend enough time to overcome.
