Brazil, Ever Power

Brazil meets on 7 September the 189 anniversary of independence in the midst of a great international reputation, whose strengths are to be a serious country that enjoys legal certainty for investment, because it has a stable political system, a renowned diplomatic tradition , have a strong economy, besides being considered a worthy representative of the region to join the Security Council of the UN as a permanent member. It has 200 million inhabitants, its territory is the fifth largest in the world after the United States, Russia , China and Canada. Has oil reserves close to 80,000 million barrels. Since 1976 Henry Kissinger called it a world power "for its vast economic resources and have a very rapid pace of economic development". And, as pointed out by Luiz Moniz Bandeira noted historian "in 1854, the French diplomat Martin Maillefer, called tropical Brazil, Russia," which had "the advantage of organization and perseverance in the midst of turbulent and ill-formed states of South America ". In the case of Peru, diplomatically intervened jointly with Argentina, Chile and the United States as guarantors of the Protocol of Rio de Janeiro in achieving Cenepa conflict Brasilia Agreement in 1998 which sealed the peace between Peru and Ecuador. A Brazilian initiative, OAS endorsed Venezuelan democracy against a coup, as in Paraguay, contributed to peace in Colombia, Argentina to obtain support international financial support to the collapse of its economy in 2002 .

A year later, it was President Lula who build trust with Argentina to ensure that both states said their relationships apart by suspicion, historical and economic issues. I remember also that supported the Peru to be integrated as an associate member of Mercosur. In August 2003, during his visit to Lima, Lula at the request of then President Alejandro Toledo, called his Uruguayan counterpart Jorge Batlle and convinced him to unlock the incorporation of Peru to the regional body. Among many other items, Brazil forged UNASUR, of which much is expected in the political and economic. What I do disagree, respecting the views of Itamaraty, is the agreement reached by Brazil and Turkey with Iran over its nuclear program and while there has been a diplomatic success, the powers it will present at international events. Meets recent statements by the Peruvian Foreign Minister Rafael Roncagliolo by privileging relations with Brazil, which is our main trading partner in the region, and the third worldwide, behind the United States of America and China, being necessary to strengthen security cooperation and expand the tourism, trade and investment. It should be noted that Peru supports Brazilian aspiration to integrate the Security Council of the UN.
